WHO WE ARE

Save Street Children Uganda (SASCU) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization  that is legally registered and operating in Uganda to promote and protect the rights of street children, unaccompanied or separated refugee children and other vulnerable children, young people and women in Uganda (REG NO S.5914/8183). In united states, SASCU is a 501(C)(3) non-profit, tax exempt public charity (EIN 45-2822269).

CHILD SPONSORSHIP

Child Sponsorship is the heartbeat of Save Street Children Uganda. We believe that when we empower just one child, we get the privilege of partnering and empowering the whole village or community to succeed in life through a Christ- centered education, biblical training, basic needs and business enterprises for a self-reliant and sustainability.

HOPE AGAIN

The Hope Again project is a tailored 6-months mindset change and skills training program that is designed to help break the cycle of poverty among survivors of sexual exploitation, abuse, and teenage pregnancy, offering renewal and transformation. Through the Hope Again Project, Save Street Children Uganda provides vocational, business and life skills training opportunities aimed at enabling the rescued girls find new purpose in their lives and set up market driven enterprises, and promotes girls’s economic independence through savings, loan groups and cooperatives.

RESCUING CHILDREN: A Lifeline of Hope

SASCU’s team of social workers hits the streets of Kampala every Tuesdays and Thursdays, meeting with the hundreds of children who sleep in gutters, bathe in polluted streams and beg and work on the street for food.

EDUCATION AND SKILLING

SASCU recognizes that when children and young people lack quality basic knowledge, skills and tools, they are bound to remain in a vicious cycle of poverty, they will not attain their full potentials and this will in turn affect their own children or families.
